When Amy Shaw spoke with her children about their father’s terminal illness, she described their role as walking him down a red carpet toward eternity.
It reframed a painful reality into one marked by presence, dignity, and love—freeing him to focus on what lay ahead with peace.
As Amy began walking alongside individuals and families through coaching, she recognized that the challenges people faced were not limited to the end of life. They were navigating loss, caregiving, major transitions, uncertainty, identity questions, and the weight of important decisions. What began as a way to face eternity became a way to move through all of life.
Today, Walk the Red represents choosing to walk through every season with clarity, purpose, and intention—recognizing the value of who you are and the impact of how you live. Just as red carpets are reserved for people of significance, Walk the Red affirms that every life carries dignity and meaning, and that the way we walk through our days matters.
